A Simi Valley Family Man With a Plan

Todd Taylor has proudly called Simi Valley home for over 17 years. As a private investigator, small business owner, and community volunteer, Todd has spent decades uncovering facts, solving problems, and helping people through difficult situations. He understands the challenges facing District 1 and will bring a practical, solutions-driven approach to City Hall.

Todd's commitment to public service and community involvement spans decades. He served as a civilian volunteer with the LAPD Volunteer Surveillance Team, is a Past President of the Northridge/Chatsworth Rotary, and previously served on the Boards of both the Chatsworth Business Improvement District and the Chatsworth Chamber of Commerce, where he was recognized as “Member of the Year.”

In Simi Valley, Todd served on the Simi Valley Neighborhood Council, including as Chair, where he gained firsthand insight into local government and the importance of responsive leadership. He also completed the Simi Valley Police Department Citizens Academy to better understand public safety operations and how local law enforcement works within the legal system.

Todd currently serves on the Board of the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley and Moorpark, helping support and invest in the next generation of our community.

Now, Todd is ready to bring his experience, leadership, and problem-solving skills to the City Council — focusing on public safety, responsible spending, smart growth, infrastructure improvements, and protecting the quality of life that makes Simi Valley such a special place to live and raise a family.

After moving from the San Fernando Valley, Todd chose to build his life and raise his family in Simi Valley because of its strong sense of community and quality of life — and he is committed to keeping it that way for future generations.
